Biography:
Hu Chichun, director of GBA Transportation Infrastructure Joint Innovation Lab, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, South China University of Technology, serves as an evaluation expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, also an expert of the Academic Degree Center of the Ministry of Education, and the Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong Province. He has been selected for the China-European Talent Program funded by Chinese NSF and European Commission, and the Guangzhou Pear-River New Star Talent Program. He has presided over 3 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 projects of Chinese-German Joint Research center (jointly established by National Natural Science Foundation of China and German Research Federation), 4 offshore projects, and 1 joint major project of Guangdong and Hong Kong. He has published more than 60 SCI/EI papers, and has been granted more than 50 patents by the state. Simultaneously, his patented technologies are widely used in Macao, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, and Zhejiang, Tibet highway pavement maintenance project and municipal road pavement upgrading project.
Prof. Khalida Binti Muda

Biography:
Dr Khalida Muda obtained her Bachelor Degree in Clinical Biochemistry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Selangor in 1992. In 2006, she completed her Master of Sciences from Manchester University, Manchester, United Kingdom and completed her PhD in 2009 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor. She started her career in educational line in 1997 as a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering, UTM. The main core subject taught by Dr Khalida are Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Water Quality Management and Pollution and Environmental Control, Solid Waste Management, Advance Wastewater Treatment, Environmental Engineering Laboratory for undergraduate students. While for postgraduate level, the main subjects taught by Dr Khalida are Environmental Management & Sustainability and Air & Noise Pollution. Besides teaching, Dr Khalida has successfully supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate students. At present, Dr Khalida has supervised more then 25 postgraduate students and more 80 undergraduate students for final year projects. Dr Khalida is actively involved in research under the Resource Sustainability Research Alliances; UTM with strong research interest in the field of water and wastewater treatment particularly in biodegradation processes using Biogranulation Technology. She has involved in more 50 research projects through local and international grants. She also has specialties in Environmental Management, Water Quality Analysis and Environmental Microbiology. She has obtained her Professorship in September 2020. Dr Khalida is the head of multi-discipline Water & Wastewater Research Group. Dr Khalida had an experience as parts of Faculty Management Team as the Head of Environmental Engineering Department and the Head of Environmental Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, UTM. And now she is the Assistant Chair for Research and Academic Staff (ACRAS) for School of Civil Engineering, UTM. Currently, Dr Khalida has more than 130 scientific publications including journals, book chapters and proceedings from local and international conferences. She is a member of Malaysian Society for Engineering and Technology (MSET) and Society of Engineering Education Malaysia (SEEM).
